The winner of the final round of the 2010 Friends of Leith Hall photo competition was Leona Whiteoak of Alford with her shot entitled “The Way Through the Trees”. The Judge, Yvonne Flett of Country Frames, Leslie, commented that she choose it because "of the great use of light and shadow amongst the trees and the way the path leads you into the picture and make you want to follow it to see what is beyond."

Our August 2010 competition was judged by Rod Munro, The Knock News Arts Editor. He choose Cara Simpsons shot of a waterlily as our first junior prize winner and a classic shot of the Catmint border by Mary Willington of Perth as the Senior Prize winner

July's winner was Martin Waterhouse of Kennethmont of his shot, "Boy on Bike" taken in early spring.
The June 2010 Friends of Leith Hall Photo Competition was won by Dennis Scott of Inverurie with his shot entitled 'Across the stream'. The competition was judged by Jan Hobbs & Robin Baird of Touched by Scotland.
The Friends of Leith Hall Photo Competition in May 2010 was won by Mrs Aileen Scott of Inverurie with her shot entitled 'Spring at the Boathouse'. The guest judge, Insch based photographer John Weatheritt, complimented the shot for both it's colours and composition. Mrs Scott wins a digital photo frame and her winning photo will be exhibited in the grounds of Leith Hall. |
