Minutes of Friends of Leith Hall Committee Meeting held on the 25th of March at Leith Hall

Present: Dawn Ranson, Grainne Patton, Tina Low, Richard Kite, Linda Durward, Stephen Reeves, Tony Hunter, Margaret Shand and Nigel Maddison
Apologies: Carys Thorn, David Gordon, Stewart Petrie, Dinah Rennie

  1. Matters Arising from Minutes of Previous Meeting (16th December)

Minutes of meetings held on 5th and 16th of December were agreed.

  1. Finance/Bank Account

    After much research we are going with the Bank of Scotland Treasurers account which is designed specifically for groups such as ours, however will take around 4 weeks to set up and signatories will have to go into a branch with ID.
  1. Membership
  2. The group looked at the Membership form and it was agreed that the format would do for now with the possibility of making adjustments in future meetings.
  3. It was agreed that in due course a leaflet describing the benefits of membership would need to be produced. 

  4. Events Programming/Coordination
  5. Focus of the discussion was mainly on Easter weekend and the Launch of the Friends.
  6. Membership Forms and Newsletters to be available to give to people who are interested in joining.
  7. Require a gazebo, folding chair and small table.
  8. Newsletter to be finished – Tina to complete.
  9. Details of Photography competition to be available also.

  10. Reid Review
  11. The group had a brief discussion about the Reid Review and all to be encouraged to submit anything to George Reid to be included in the Strategic Review of the NTS.

  12. Additional Committee Members
  13. Additional committee members were discussed and with potential spaces becoming available it was suggested that the next meeting should be open to the public and additional committee members can be asked for and agreed.

  14. AOCB
  15. The Chairmen’s Lunch is to be held at Wemyss House on the 13th of May, Dawn asked the committee if anyone was interested in attending and if so to let her know.

Thursday 22nd of April at Rannes Hall (if available, if not at Leith Hall but numbers will be restricted)
